Man has worked with his dog over thousands of years, far more than we probably realise.

With this in mind, we would like to introduce to you all of the aspects of Working Dogs in the Countryside. On our small island, the dog has always been an important part of the countryside and it's way of life, from the working Sheepdog to the ratting Terriers to the Gundogs to the working Lurcher. We hope that this file will be of interest not only to the people that work dogs, but also for dog lovers in general.
