A Friend in A Million
 |
From pillar to post she had been pushed
Saraphina we loved so much
From Collie Rescue we did have her
And our life was a pleasure
When we found our little treasure
How she loved to play and play And seemed to laugh in a way
That told us we had saved her day
So ill was she when she reached us
To the vet it did prompt us
Had her spayed – only sound
Cancer of the ovaries found
Prognosis cautious to discover
If and when she would recover
A new lease of life she did have
Shaking off the past so bad
Would not think that she was nine
Such a character hard to find
A dog in a million to us was she
An example to all of how to be
Many of us would do well to pay
Attention to how she enjoyed each day
An example of how we should be
In the face of adversity.
